Delaware County Fire Task Force Dispatched

On April 10, 2012 at 04:30 hours The Delaware County Fire Task Force was activated for the first time. The Delaware County Fire Task Force was dispatched to assist Chester County on a wild land fire. Ladder 35, with 7 men having well over 100 years of active service proudly made the response, along with four engines from Garrett Ford Drexel Hill (20), Springfield (44), Manoa (56), and Broomall (53) met at the point of departure in the rear of the Marple Cross Roads Shopping Center for departure at 05:30 to make the 45 mile trek to Chester County Station 69. Although the Delaware County Fire Task Force's resources were never used at the wild fire, the members of the task force stood by for the requested operational period. At 15:30 hours the Delaware County Fire Task Force was relieved by Lancaster County.
